Welcome to The Paved Road! I am glad you are here! I feel deeply honored to walk alongside individuals as they seek healing and growth. In our sessions, I strive to create a safe and supportive space where you can explore your emotions, experiences, and story in ways that open the door to restoration and lasting change. My work draws on the belief that we are designed for connection and healing through relationship—with ourselves, others, and God. I often integrate faith-based principles for clients who desire it, helping them experience God’s love, truth, and grace in the midst of life’s challenges.
I work with individuals and families navigating a wide range of challenges including adoption, addiction, anxiety, depression, eating disorders, grief, infertility, trauma, self-esteem, body image, and women’s mental health concerns. I have a heart for helping individuals rediscover hope and peace in places that once felt overwhelming or broken.
I earned my Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Azusa Pacific University and my Bachelor of Arts in Education from Lewis & Clark College. I’ve also completed advanced training in EMDR and all required coursework toward certification as an eating disorder specialist.

Following a 35-year career in corporate America, I pursued my lifelong dream of working with others in a relationally healing capacity. I received a master’s degree in clinical counseling from The Townsend Institute at Concordia University and an undergraduate degree from Seattle Pacific University. Through my education as well as through experience counseling others over the years, both in a lay and professional capacity, I have witnessed the transformative power of safe relationships in the healing process. My passion is to help relieve burdens and remove obstacles in life that keep us from realizing our full potential and becoming all we are meant to be. My focus is on helping to heal wounds that hinder our ability to give and receive love and journeying with the grieving toward renewed hope. I work with clients in the areas of self-esteem and worthiness, empowerment and fulfillment in career and personal life, and I relate to many phases of a woman’s life, including single, married, divorced and remarriage, and widowed. Over the years I have worked with grief and loss, anxiety, depression, irrational thought patterns and other mental and emotional health issues. Whether working through problematic relationships or situations or dealing with long-held irrational and negative core beliefs, my style is very relational and focuses on individual needs and personal growth toward mental, emotional and spiritual health. It would be my privilege to meet with you for a consultation to determine your short or long-term needs.

Welcome—I’m glad you’re here. My hope is to offer a space where your most authentic self feels seen, known, and accepted. I believe that while relationships can bring our deepest pain, they also hold our greatest potential for healing. Through trust, collaboration, and genuine connection, therapy can become a space to explore your story, find understanding, and nurture lasting growth.
My approach is warm, grounded, and emotionally attuned—inviting laughter, tears, and everything in between. I work with individuals navigating the echoes of the past, life transitions, or seasons of uncertainty that feel hard to name. Often, what we need most in these moments is an empathetic presence and time to explore what we are truly feeling. It’s an honor to walk alongside individuals as they rediscover their sense of self and create relationships rooted in security and authenticity.
Part of my work has involved supporting children, teens, and families through the joys and challenges of growing up in both the private practice setting as well as on campus at K-12 schools. My work is rooted in attachment theory and neuroscience, and I creatively and relationally tailor therapy to meet each child’s unique needs. I’m passionate about early intervention and helping families build strong, connected relationships from the start.
Before becoming a therapist, I worked in ministry and non-profit settings, including serving as a house parent for teenage girls in foster care. Those experiences deepened my empathy for caregivers, parents, and helpers—people who give so much to others that they sometimes lose sight of themselves. I treasure the opportunity to support those learning how to refill their cup and care for themselves with the same compassion they so freely give.
Areas of focus: Anxiety, Childhood Trauma, Depression, Identity Issues, Life Transitions, Parenting, Religious Trauma, Spirituality
I work with: Adults, Young Adults, Families, Teens (13-17), Kids (5-12)
Education: M.A. in Clinical Psychology, Emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Azusa Pacific University ; B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Integrated Educational Studies from Chapman University.

Whether this is your first time in therapy or you've been on this journey before, I’m so glad you’re here. Taking the step to prioritize your healing is both courageous and meaningful.
Life can sometimes feel overwhelming or even frightening to face head-on. But I believe therapy offers us a sacred and safe space—a space to summon the courage to explore even the deepest and most difficult parts of ourselves.
As a licensed therapist, I hold a deep belief that vulnerability is the gateway to transformation. I'm passionate about helping people feel more deeply connected—to themselves and to others—so they can build healthier, more authentic relationships.
My approach is holistic and integrative, focusing on the connection between mind, body, and soul. Together, we’ll work on cultivating self-compassion, awareness, and acceptance.
I specialize in:
EMDR and trauma work (including religious and spiritual trauma)
Racial identity exploration
Navigating life transitions and feeling "stuck"
Relationship challenges
Working with teens/adolescence
I believe in a collaborative, individualized approach to therapy—one that helps you move toward your goals and find deeper fulfillment. Sessions may include talk therapy, mindfulness practices, or therapeutic exercises tailored to your needs.
Whether you're going through a tough season, feeling stuck, or simply want someone to process life with, I'm here to support you. Let’s walk through this together—with courage, vulnerability, and hope for transformation.
If you'd like to connect, I offer a free 10-minute consultation. Feel free to reach out by phone, text, or email (linked below). Sessions are available both in-person and via telehealth. I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT #155613) and Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC # 14614) supervised by Susan Beisner.

I seek to step into the trenches with those navigating the pain of relationship distress, trauma, identity issues, anxiety, and loss, believing that healing begins when another bears witness to our deepest fears, hopes, and longings. With a psychodynamic lens, I help untangle the unconscious patterns that shape relationships and foster cycles of disconnection. For both individual and couples therapy, the work of understanding, creating safety, and accepting support can lead to profound transformation. Therapy is a space to slow down, process deeply, and step into greater awareness and healing—and I believe it’s work worth doing.
I have specialized training in anxiety, spirituality and identity development, and emotionally focused couples therapy. I am particularly interested in identity, shame, couple’s therapy, pre-marital therapy, anxiety, spirituality, loss, intimacy issues, trauma, and personal depth work. I work with teens, young adults, couples, and adults.
Let’s see if we could work together toward your goals. Whether you are looking for yourself, you and your partner, or your child—reach out. I’d love to see if it’s a good fit. I am currently taking new clients for virtual and in person appointments.
