First of all, I want to let you know that I truly admire your courage and consideration to seek therapy, because I know how hard it is to ask a stranger online for help with your personal issues. Also because I was also once in your position, I can tell you that it was one of the most life-changing decisions I have made. I was so glad for the help I received. From my personal journey, experiences and training with therapy, my belief for the work with my clients is this; I will never take my client to places that I am not willing to go. That being said, I consider this opportunity to work with you as a unique human interaction and honor. I have seen many healing and successful stories in front of my eyes with my clients. I am confident of the help you will receive through therapy, even if it might not necessarily be through my service. In addition to the benefit of helping people to become unstuck or to get over the bumps in life, I am also passionate about another significant benefit of therapy and that is developing and discovering the whole person we are meant to be even as we learn to work through the parts of our lives in conflict with each other or with the external world. My professional interest and expertise are on the issues of emotional distress, anxiety, depression, trauma/abuse, relationship struggles, and cross-cultural issues. Additionally, from my experiences with organized religion, I am experienced in working with people who seek freedom in their spiritual path and clarity. I also have the privilege of living in and interacting within a multicultural context, encompassing Chinese/Taiwanese, Asian immigrants, Asian-Americans, Majority culture American, and Kenyan. I hope no matter what your cultural and ethnic background is, I would have the honor of getting to know you and walking with you for a while in this life journey.
